Okay, so, here is the stereotypical and cliched Thanksgiving post, yay!
But in all seriousness, there is truly so much we each have to be extremely grateful for. I have AC and heat (sometimes), cars, cable, DVRs, toilet paper, and I have the amazing opportunity to be able to have an open relationship with God.
Guys, how often do you take the time to truly realize how much we have all been blessed with? It doesn't matter if you believe in God, a god, or not, we all have something we can be thankful for.
Story time! So, I had the wonderful and eye=opening opportunity this past Spring to go on a tour of Europe with a group of students from BYU-I (holla to everyone from #TourOfEurope2014!). I was freaking out, cause I have always wanted to go to Europe and feel all classy and stuff. I never expected to learn so much about blessings with I was out. I was walking through France with some of my friends when I happened to look over and see a woman. I had gotten used to people coming up to us tourists and begging for money, but my automatic reaction was to ignore her. But then, I looked at her again. This woman was not approaching my friends and I for money, she instead was searching through the garbage, until she found a half-eaten piece of fruit, and began to eat it. This woman was looking for her dinner.
No matter what our situation may be, we can always find something to be thankful for. May you all have a blessed holiday!
XOXO Sydney
